When using playground’s in hot weather, it is important to take extra care to stay safe and comfortable. Equipment such as slides, swings, and climbing frames may become significantly hotter than usual and could cause burns, so always check surfaces before use.
Visitors should consider attending at a cooler part of the day, such as early morning or early evening, to avoid peak temperatures. If visiting during the hottest times, make sure to stay well hydrated, take regular breaks, and use shaded areas or equipment wherever possible.
The Parish Council will be visiting playgrounds and open spaces throughout the week to monitor equipment and carry out individual risk assessments where necessary, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the younger members of our community.
